I think most of you know this kind of sites,but for those who dunno

And it gives out so much stuff,haha.

why would anyone wanna know a person's location ?

Ofcource they would.
For example if you wanna find out whether they
are lying about where they live or not.

That would equal not trusting your own members who dedicated their time for your site.

Of course now if a member was a hacker or something you would need that but for
a reason they didn't do and they have to ber hunted down like that
is so unfair.

Ok, I guess I will make things clear, whenever you obtain a power, as long as you don't abuse it, it's fine. Well, stalking like that is not only on net ya know. US has been doing that for years, reasoning "Security" but there also is privacy. But if a person register in a place, like a forum, his/her information can be use or check by provider (they have the rights).

And like queeny said, we might be able to detect liars. (but surely not for Burma --")

person is too proud,so you check his/her I.P. to
